Historic Stevens Point is an innovative digital public history initiative, established by local historian Chelsey S. Pfiffner, to preserve and showcase the community’s heritage through active engagement, advocacy, and sometimes activism for the preservation of its historic buildings and stories.

Pfiffner, a native of Stevens Point, has made it her mission to share the rich history of her hometown through her work as a public historian and storyteller. With her deep connection to the City’s past, she strives to keep the memory of the city’s pioneers alive for future generations.

Because of her passion for preserving the past, Pfiffner has dedicated herself to sharing the stories of her hometown. As a member of the Milwaukee Preservation Alliance Board of Directors, she works to protect the not only Milwaukee’s history and cultural heritage, but Stevens Point’s as well.

Pfiffner serves as a public historian and storyteller, offering a unique perspective on the history of her hometown. She direct descendant of Edward Julius Pfiffner, a prominent figure in the town’s history, and brings a personal touch to her work.
